North along the bus route to Valle Gran Rey from Chipude, is the small village of EL CERCADO , where traditional pottery ( Alfareria ) - made without a wheel and rubbed with red earth before glazing - is still crafted in a couple of workshops where you can sometimes catch the potters at work.
